Well, this is the beginning.  It’s the beginning of a lot of things, but for now it’s the beginning of my attempt of sharing my heart in where the Lord is leading me and the process by which He is taking me there.  My thought was that I love reading the blogs of my dear friends living overseas, so surely there would be some that would want to keep up with me.  This is also, a centralized location to communicate and update supporters, friends and family.

At this time I am still going through the process to be approved to go to Guatemala.  I go back and forth between knowing that I am completely undeserving and unable to fullfil such a task  and knowing that if I am right in believing that God has called me to go to Guatemala under the authority of the church then it doesn’t matter what stands in the way, I’m going.  Sometimes that gives me complete confidence, other days that scares me and makes me wonder what I’ve gotten myself into…. either way I am grateful that God doesn’t depend on my emotions, but rather He is steadfast and faithful. 

So here goes nothing… within the next month I will know if I pasted the international testing, have an interview and go to training/more interviews to confirm the approval to go.  After that I begin the daunting task of raising the roughly $25,000 needed to go.  Prayers would be appreciated.
