We have just arrived back in Honduras for our second year and, well, to say the least, I am struggling. So glad to know that God has also been preparing me. I have known I wanted to work with “Ghetto” kids for years. You know, the ones no one else wants. Now, I just need to figure out where those kids live, and honestly, sometime I just want to go home to Denton and work with those kids there. Ug. This is hard. I usually resort to “Public speaking does not come easy to me and makes me incredibly uncomfortable, therefore I must not have the gift of public speaking,” but then I remind myself that if I am naturally good at something, how does this show off the Lord’s power? It’s at this point that you are forced to truly rely on the Lord to speak through you and not rely on your natural talents.
